Allied Health Administration Assistant

Fantastic opportunity for a friendly and experienced Administration Assistant to join the team at one of Coogee’s most popular physiotherapy practices, The Wright Physio. As an Administration Assistant you will be an integral part of our team and assist in maintaining the smooth running of the practice whilst providing a memorable patient experience.

About The Wright Physio

The Wright Physio is a sports-orientated physiotherapy practice based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs just moments from Coogee Beach, coastal walks, and local cafes. We have 2 clinics in located in Coogee, both open 6 days.

We are a professional but friendly practice with a strong referral base. We specialize in sports injuries & the management of pain, offering individualised, tailored physiotherapy & massage therapy treatment to our patients. You will be working in conjunction with our Practice Manager and admin team to support our experienced physiotherapists with day to day administrative tasks.

The Role

As an Administration Assistant at The Wright Physio, you should be enthusiastic and motivated to participate within a small team environment. The position is permanent part time, 22 hours, 2.5 days per week. You must be available Saturday morning. The 2 weekdays are negotiable.

The successful candidate will be a professional, confident individual who is detail oriented, personable, can multitask, demonstrate initiative, and possess strong customer service and administrative skills.

Key responsibilities include

  • Performing day-to-day operations for the clinic – appointment scheduling, inbox management, customer service, light cleaning

  • Diary management of five therapists

  • Data entry – regular use of Microsoft Word & Excel, and scheduling software

  • Composing emails and letters for healthcare professionals

  • Customer service – greeting patients, taking payments, responding to email and phone inquiries

  • Supporting the Practice Manager with Workcover, CTP and DVA claims administrative requirements

  • Working as a team to ensure the practice runs effectively and meets objectives

All Applicants Must

  • Be currently residing and eligible to work in Australia

  • Have a client centric approach with excellent customer service skills and professional phone & correspondence manner

  • Have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be assertive, reliable, and well presented

  • Have excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

  • Be competent in Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Word & Excel

  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19, or in the process of being vaccinated

Ideal Applicants Will

  • Be available to work 22 hours per week, including 4 hours Saturday morning

  • Be able to work until 7pm on 2 rostered days Monday-Friday

  • Preferably live within 30 mins of Coogee, 2034

  • Previous administration experience in allied health or the medical industry is advantageous

  • Prior knowledge of Cliniko is advantageous
